605 S-series balers

One proven platform. Four purpose-built choices.

Which Vermeer 605 S-series baler works the way you do?

You have your own challenges. From the crops you bale and the local conditions you work through to what you expect from your equipment, you need a round baler designed around your realities. Not everyone else’s.

What you need is a baler that works the way you do. And you shouldn't have to sacrifice dependability to get it.

With the new Vermeer 605 S-series, you don’t.

That’s because every 605S round baler starts with the same heavy-duty 6-ft x 5-ft (1.8-m x 1.5-m) platform. Heavy-duty rollers, chains and belts, flotation tires and rubber-mounted pickup teeth work with a common density and netwrap system to produce tight, uniform bales.

On every 605S, the heavy-duty part comes standard. How you put that proven Vermeer dependability to use?

That’s your choice.

Let’s find the 605S baler that works the way you do.

The bale is only the beginning.

Making hay is one thing. Making more of it is another.

Makin’ Hay is the Vermeer-owned and operated website, newsletter and magazine for hay, forage and cattle producers. Get practical ideas for cutting, raking and baling. Find ways to protect forage quality, feed your herd, reduce waste and make every acre work harder.

Request a free copy of the 605S special edition and tell us which Vermeer 605 S-series baler interests you. Your local Vermeer dealer can follow up to answer questions and help you compare the lineup.

  • Should be Empty:

Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.

A baler should make hay. Not more work.

The 605S Rancher keeps baling simple with a camless wide pickup, intuitive controls and low-horsepower requirements. Fewer moving parts around the pickup helps lessen the need for routine maintenance before the day starts and fewer reasons to stop once it does.

Make hay. Not more work.

605S Signature Baler

The baler that means business.

Hay today. Straw tomorrow. Heavy windrows. Uneven windrows. Moisture that changes seemingly by the hour.

The 605S Signature powers through changing crops and conditions. Its cammed wide pickup gives you more feeding control as crops and windrows change. Available scales keep bale weight in view, while Auto Lube handles routine greasing.

Different crops. Different conditions. Same baler ready to get to work.

Because when conditions change, this baler means business.

Ready for anything. Loaded with everything.

The longer the day runs, the more every stop, adjustment and repeated task adds up. That’s when you need more than capacity. That’s when you need a baler that takes work off your plate.

That’s when you need the 605S Premium baler.

High-capacity performance keeps pace in demanding conditions. TempSense™ bearing monitoring and Auto Lube come standard to help protect uptime and handle routine lubrication. Available auto-eject opens and closes the tailgate after every bale, while the available net lift makes loading netwrap easier. That means fewer repeated tasks and more efficient haymaking.

Long days ask for everything.

The 605S Premium comes loaded with all the answers.

605S Cornstalk Special Baler

Built for the tough stuff.

Cornstalks make every bale hard-earned. Abrasive residue can fight the feed, slow the cycle and wear on a baler all day.

But a demanding crop doesn’t have to demand more from you.

The 605S Cornstalk Special helps keep cornstalks feeding and bales moving. A powered windguard comes standard to support consistent feeding, while standard auto-eject opens and closes the tailgate after every bale. Available scales keep bale weight in view.

The tough stuff comes with the territory.

The 605S Cornstalk Special is built for it.

Optional Features

Pickup

Match your baler to your operation. The 605 S-series offers two pickup options: a camless pickup on Rancher and a cammed pickup on Signature and Premium models.

Net lift system

Reduce manual lifting during netwrap changes. The net lift system raises the netwrap roll into position using a swing-out arm and switch.

Auto Eject

Simplify baling from the cab. Auto Eject automatically ties the bale and manages the tailgate sequence, reducing operator inputs during operation.

TempSense™

Get peace of mind from the cab. TempSense™ monitors high-stress bearing temperatures in real time and alerts operators to potential issues.

Auto Lube greasing system

Reduce routine maintenance tasks. The Auto Lube greasing system automatically lubricates critical bearings for consistent grease application.

LED maintenance lights

Keep working when the day runs long. LED lights on the doors and netwrap hood help illuminate key service areas after dark.

Powered windguard

Maintain crop flow in demanding conditions. The powered windguard helps improve feeding performance in cornstalks and other tough materials.

Scales

Monitor bale weights without stopping. Three load cells weigh each bale during wrapping and display weight data through the control system.

When a round baler gets tested, durability matters

“I’ve tried other brands, but they just don’t have the same durability. With Vermeer, everything seems to work better.”
