Features & Benefits

Screw design

Every piece of the screw and tub design on the twin-screw mixers was carefully engineered. Two overlapping screws work with the offset baffles along the tub wall to produce a consistent mix of feedstuffs. The complimentary design of the tub and screw helps move material from the front to the back in a clockwise motion.

Efficient cleanout

The last place operators want their ration left is in the bottom of the tub. With two bi-pulse legs and the leading edge of the screw, three points of contact are formed with the tub floor to encourage thorough cleanout.

Optional stainless steel liner

With the option to add a stainless steel liner to the tub, operators can be confident their mixer will withstand various types of feedstuffs for minimized rust and maximized durability.

Optional bi-directional discharge

For operations that do the majority of their feeding in an alleyway, optional bi-directional discharge makes feeding convenient. Feed on either the right or left side of your alley when traveling between pens or multiple buildings.

4-point scale with Bluetooth connectivity

With a 4-point scale, producers can rely on their mixer to help provide an accurate weight readout. Vermeer scales are equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, letting producers see weight information on their smartphone or tablet.

Mixing it up

Mixing it up

Every operation is different and there are a lot of options out there on ways to feed your herd. While some people choose to feed in hay ring or bunk through free-choice feeding, many producers find value in using equipment such as vertical mixers, bale processors or feed wagons.

Help prevent costly forage waste, optimize feeding with a vertical feed mixer

Profit margins are usually tight for cattle producers. They’re even tighter if you’re not maximizing your herd’s time at the bunk with maximum nutrition and minimal feed waste. A vertical feed mixer may be part of the feed cost equation for your operation.
