Features & Benefits

Screw design

Consistent rations are critical when using a vertical mixer. To achieve the optimal mix, Vermeer twin-screw mixers are equipped with overlapping screws and offset baffles along the tub wall. The design of tub and screws work together to move material between the screws to get a thorough mix.

Efficient cleanout

Vermeer mixers use two bi-pulse legs and the leading edge of the screw to form three points of contact with the tub floor for optimal cleanout. These three points of contact also work together to allow even distribution on the discharge conveyor and into the bunk.

Optimal stainless steel liner

An optional stainless steel liner helps provide added durability to withstand higher-acidity feedstuffs.

Optional bi-directional discharge

Optional bi-directional discharge allows operators to choose to feed on either the right or left side of alleyways to minimize time spent between pens or multiple buildings. This feature works best for operations that do the majority of their feeding in an alleyway rather than in a bunk.

Upgraded durability

The VT750 Premium twin-screw vertical mixer has all the features of the VT750 twin-screw vertical mixer, but with thicker sidewalls, thicker tub floor and thicker screw flighting for maximized strength, durability and longevity.

4-point scale with standard remote display and Bluetooth connectivity

Premium models are equipped with an additional remote display for visibility to the accurate weight-reads from the 4-point scale. Producers can also view weight from their scale indicator or their smart device via standard Bluetooth connectivity.

Mixing it up

Every operation is different and there are a lot of options out there on ways to feed your herd. While some people choose to feed in hay ring or bunk through free-choice feeding, many producers find value in using equipment such as vertical mixers, bale processors or feed wagons.

Help prevent costly forage waste, optimize feeding with a vertical feed mixer

Profit margins are usually tight for cattle producers. They’re even tighter if you’re not maximizing your herd’s time at the bunk with maximum nutrition and minimal feed waste. A vertical feed mixer may be part of the feed cost equation for your operation.
