Vermeer adds triple mowers to their product lineup, expands their rotary rake and tedder offerings

Vermeer, a leader in hay and forage solutions, announced an expansion of its product line to include triple mowers, rotary rakes and a large tedder. These new products will be available for the 2025 hay season, reinforcing the Vermeer commitment to providing high-performing equipment that maximizes productivity and efficiency for hay, dairy and beef producers.

Vermeer is 100 percent focused on hay, dairy and beef producers and the products they need to be successful in the field,” said Shane Rourke, managing director of forage for Vermeer. “The addition of these products further demonstrates our commitment to this industry and I’m excited to bring these products into our lineup to meet our customer’s growing need for efficiency and productivity."

Vermeer has partnered with SIP, a European company boasting 70 years of proven expertise in engineering and manufacturing high-performance agricultural equipment.

This launch has been a fantastic collaboration between our respective engineering and support teams to ensure these products meet the demands of the North American customer,” Rourke said.

Triple mowers

The addition of triple mowers complements the existing Vermeer range of disc mowers, trailed mowers and mower conditioners. Customers can expect to see productivity gains with an impressive 29.8-ft (9.1-m) cutting width — featuring the FM110 front mower and the CM295 combination mower — each available as a plain mower, rubber roller or flail conditioner.

Engineered for convenience, ease of maintenance and durability, the robust cutter bar on these machines helps operators tackle acre after acre with confidence. It includes shear protection to help prevent damage to the cutter bar's internal components, quick-change blades for quick maintenance, and hardened steel skids and discs for long-lasting performance.

Operators can achieve maximized yield and cut quality, even on uneven terrain, thanks to the advanced hydro-pneumatic suspension system. This closed-loop system allows the mower to adapt seamlessly to varying ground conditions, maintaining consistent down-pressure across the entire cutting range for optimal performance.

Experience confidence in the field with robust hitch designs on both the front and rear for longevity and durability. The FM110 front mower’s hitch design allows for a high degree of movement on both the vertical and lateral planes by pulling the cutter bar instead of pushing it — helping to deliver better ground contouring, enhanced cut quality and minimizes unnecessary downtime due to maintenance.

RR140s and RR270c rotary rakes

Two new rotary rakes, the RR140s and RR270c, feature raking widths of 14 ft (4.3 m) and 27 ft (7.3 m), respectively. As a long-standing leader in hay rakes, Vermeer offers a comprehensive range of large and small wheel rakes, as well as twin rakes. These new additions provide producers with another excellent option for maintaining nutritional quality and reducing ash content, available at their local Vermeer dealer.

Designed for maximized durability and ease of maintenance, these rotary rakes feature large, 420-mm (16.5 in) cam tracks. Due to large components and easily accessible grease points, they have the ability to hold up in tough field conditions and eliminate complex maintenance and service procedures.

Enhance efficiency and simplify your maintenance process with a modular rotor featuring separately removable spring tine arm pairs. Each cam bearing module is secured with three bolts, streamlining maintenance for operators.

TE485 tedder

The TE485 tedder, with its impressive 48.5-ft (14.8 m) tedding width, will be the largest in the Vermeer lineup. Vermeer, a pioneer in tedding, was among the first companies to introduce hook tines to the United States.

Hook tines provide optimized hay quality through more consistent and complete dry-down as hay is inverted with wet crop on top and dry on the bottom. Plus, Vermeer hook tines are backed by 3-year coverage.

A product built to last

Even before the invention of the large round baler in 1971, Vermeer was in relentless pursuit of “finding a better way” for hay and forage operations.

It was Vermeer founder, Gary Vermeer, who said, “Find a need, fill that need with a product built to last, and simply build the best.” This philosophy lives on at Vermeer as they continue to anticipate and address and invest in the evolving needs of producers with premium, yet practical solutions.

“The Vermeer brand has been built, in large part by delivering products that not only perform out of the gate, but that are built strong and to last,” Rourke said. “We use this lens for every product we bring to market.”

Over the last year, Vermeer has introduced new generations of their silage balers and mower conditioners — both focused on providing efficiency, productivity and reliability for customers. Most notably, they announced a partnership with GT Bunning & Sons in September to add a wide range of manure spreaders to their product portfolio.

The continual growth of Vermeer product lines to meet the needs of producers is evident, this expanded lineup is no exception.

There will be limited field-inventory available to customers in 2025 with full-availability expected in 2026.
