“With this netwrap, you’re able to keep a bale longer than a year with less spoilage.”

Benefits of netwrap

Less hay loss

Strong netwrap, like Vermeer net, can keep the bale wrapped tighter compared to using twine, allowing producers to take better care of their hay.

Faster bale wrapping

When using netwrap, one to three turns of the bale are necessary to wrap the bale, compared to using twine which requires at least eight revolutions.

Shape and structure

For operators who are selling their hay, netwrapped bales often keep their shape better and have squarer shoulders.

Frequently asked questions

The number of wraps per bale depends on field conditions and crop types. When baling hay, Vermeer recommends around 2.5 - 3 wraps; whereas when baling cornstalks or straw, you will likely need 4 wraps.

“Vermeer Net allows me to do more with my dollar. This netwrap is great and it’s tough. We store hay outside, and if it’s a rainy year, you don’t have to worry about it. Vermeer Net is going to be around that bale 360 degrees.”
