We continuously improve our machines and process to move our customers’ businesses and the world forward. The same belief holds true for our team members to continuously improve themselves and the communities in which they live.
As part of the Vermeer commitment to improvement, Vermeer focuses on long-term initiatives that help make a real, personal impact on our world.
Vermeer Charitable Foundation
As Vermeer Corporation has grown, so has the Vermeer Charitable Foundation (VCF). Local focus supports many civic, church and educational needs from the central Iowa area. Vermeer Corporation’s equipment and expertise have proven valuable in supporting disaster relief efforts as well as contributing to a better quality of life for people around the world.
Three generations of Vermeer family shareholders now serve as directors on the Board of VCF. Their passions have changed and propelled the foundation over the years. “Bricks & Mortar” type projects were core in the early years and then education and scholarships became a growing interest, especially as it impacted Vermeer team members’ children. Environmental protection and business mentoring globally are more recent focuses. VCF continues to seek out opportunities where the foundation’s efforts can make a real impact in the world in which we live.

Vermeer is committed to the communities where our team members work and live. This philosophy strongly reflects the character on which our solid foundation was built decades ago. Whether through citizenship initiatives or the Vermeer Charitable Foundation (VCF), Vermeer and it’s people worldwide believe in a long-term commitment to community engagement.
Vermeer team members are encouraged to take advantage of paid Volunteer Time Off (VTO) to help people and communities move forward.
Vermeer encourages youth to explore and pursue education and careers within science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Vermeer aims to create learning opportunities for education and real-life experience to intersect. The Vermeer teacher intern program allows teachers to experience ways in which STEM skills directly relate to our workforce. Throughout the year, Vermeer also hosts students to learn more about advanced manufacturing and the opportunities available. From celebrating "Take Your Child to Work Day” to hosting K-12 classrooms with age-appropriate curriculum, Vermeer believes seeing is learning
