The Project Engineer manages the design, test, and launch of new products as assigned by the Senior Project Engineer. The Project Engineer provides direction to the engineering team and assists Design Engineers in the development process. The position also serves as a connection between engineering and manufacturing, purchasing, service, sales, dealers and customers.
Your Responsibilities:

Supervise product development and design activities through direct contact with design personnel.

Define, develop and lead multiple engineering projects from prototype development through production implementation, including field follow-up.

Design parts using Solid Works and AutoCAD.

Develop and maintain prioritized task and project lists for direct reports.

Ensure required testing is performed on new and redesigned equipment.

Manage employees on engineering team, including performance management, disciplining and interviewing new employees.

Train dealers and Territory Managers on products to increase product knowledge.

Interpret FEA/testing results.

Review and approve service, operators, maintenance and parts manuals.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Ag Engineering, Electrical or related field in Engineering with 5-10 years previous job experience and/or training; and/or combination of equivalent experience and education.

Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, including continuous improvement and lean, FEA evaluation, stress analysis, hydraulics, electrical systems, design and manufacturing processes.

Ability to effectively manage product development and engineering teams to complete projects on time and within budget.

Ability to integrate machine performance, costs, manufacturability and reliability into a product that is profitable for the company.

Great communication and people skills, required.

Passionate about working hands on with the equipment and is a creative problem solver.
