The Trenchless Solutions Specialist provides sales support to Global Vermeer dealers through training, product demonstration assistance, developing new hire sales people and assisting dealers in aggressive sales opportunities. This position maintains relationships with dealers to ultimately serve them better and provides internal Vermeer team members with information to improve service and product and to grow market share.
Your Responsibilities:

Provide product expertise on mega size drill rigs and ancillary equipment to the Vermeer sales force and retail customer.

Provide updated sales information to the sales force (internal and external) in order to educate them on product lines. Consult with the Sales team for the development of sales promotions and product lines. Represent Vermeer by attending tradeshows, customer day events, sales meetings road shows and demo tours by being the expert on the product line.

Create and deliver strategic and tactical training for sales and service personnel to promote the features and benefits of Vermeer products versus the competition and promote Vermeer’s rich heritage and business philosophies.

Train customers and dealers on various application specific details and the effects on machine performance. Continuously contact customers to ensure product and service satisfaction. Create sales training audio CD’s, dealer sales training materials, parts and service training materials, and Web conference meetings and materials.

Supply all knowledge and expertise relating to product promotion and market analysis to trade magazine Editors and Publishers as well as provide Engineering with data concerning new product design and enhancement feature designs to current model line.

Assist the Market Based Strategy team with Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) information and data. Continuously contacting customers to ensure product and service satisfaction. Provide the field’s prospective to service related issues as it relates to Vermeer products and solutions. Participate in dealer focus groups. Mine the Voice of the Customer (VOC) data via face through various contact methods ranging from face to face interaction to conducting market research.

Forecast scheduling for production leveling and just in time (JIT) production and inventory control.
Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree is Business Management or equivalent major with 3-5 years of Product/Dealer and training experience.

Demonstrated marketing experience a plus and preferred.

Vast knowledge of the product lines, Vermeer and Vermeer systems is critical for success, as well as competitive product offerings, market share and size oppurtunities.

CDL driver’s license is preferred.

This role requires 40% travel per year for demos, training, customer visits and trade shows.

Proven communications, both verbal and written.

Self-starting team player with strong organizational skills and knowledge of lean principles.

Great people person focused on "A-1" customer service.

Large diameter (24" and larger) bore experience preferred.

Drilling fluid recycling/mixing experience preferred.
-
Drilling fluid company training preferred.
-
Steering tool operational experience.
-
Mud motor operational experience preferred.
