The BPI/KPO Technician is responsible to develop and implement lean manufacturing ideas to support product teams. This position strives to prepare, execute, and follow-up with Kaizen events in the area of BPI/KPO.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform project work in support of the implementation of lean principles.
- Prepare for event, follow-up with events, and conduct event audits.
- Lead and assist Kaizen team in Kaizen events.
- Train and mentor associates on lean practices.
- Collect data and maintain metrics in support of lean improvements.
- Participate in the creation of a lean work environment through the development of work stations, material presentation, workplace organization needs.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma required with at least 1-2 years previous job experience and/or training; and/or combination of education and experience.
- Ability to facilitate teams and training.
- Knowledge in the areas of Company manufacturing processes, lean principles and the Kaizen process.
- Ability to effectively manage the BPI and Lean Journey metric boards, Kaizen event planning and preparation, and event archival, and follow-up.
- Ability to implement improvements and results sustained through Kaizen event activity.
- Demonstration of good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to priortize multiple tasks while supporting the department.
- Ability to produce accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner.
- Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.
- Ability maintaining positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.
