The BPI/KPO Technician is responsible to develop and implement lean manufacturing ideas to support product teams.  This position strives to prepare, execute, and follow-up with Kaizen events in the area of BPI/KPO. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform project work in support of the implementation of lean principles. 
  • Prepare for event, follow-up with events, and conduct event audits.
  • Lead and assist Kaizen team in Kaizen events.
  • Train and mentor associates on lean practices.
  • Collect data and maintain metrics in support of lean improvements.
  • Participate in the creation of a lean work environment through the development of work stations, material presentation, workplace organization needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma required with at least 1-2 years previous job experience and/or training; and/or combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to facilitate teams and training. 
  • Knowledge in the areas of Company manufacturing processes, lean principles and the Kaizen process.
  • Ability to effectively manage the BPI and Lean Journey metric boards, Kaizen event planning and preparation, and event archival, and follow-up. 
  • Ability to implement improvements and results sustained through Kaizen event activity. 
  • Demonstration of good written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to priortize multiple tasks while supporting the department.
  • Ability to produce accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner.
  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public/customers and co-workers.
  • Ability maintaining positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.
