The Manufacturing Engineer-I coordinates the flow of materials through assigned plants through the support and implementation of lean principles. This role determines cost effective methods of manufacturing and design enhancements resulting in gross margin improvement, quality improvements and increased reliability.
Your Responsibilities:

Guide engineering and production in the creation and implementation of lean design changes that improve manufacturability of parts.

Improve quality and reliability of end products.

Review and direct ECN releases for production.

Assist in achieving individual and team goals which are aligned with the Organization’s business strategies and objectives.

Initiate the standardization of methods, processes, and design features. Analyze machine utilization and recommend changes as needed.

Manage scrap reduction efforts and document.

Formulate documentation and sharing of best practices, produce plant layouts to improve flow of material and people, and direct Expect the Best design print changes for assigned plants.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in ITEC, ME, or IE with 1-3 years engineering experience in the manufacturing industry, and/or combination of education and experience. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.

Knowledge of assembly, welding techniques, machine operations, JIT manufacturing processes.

Previous experience working with Microsoft Office, Sigma Nest, Master Cam, and robot integrated hardware and software.

Passionate about working hands on with the equipment and be a creative problem solver.

Great communication and people skills!

Some travel is required, including weekends, on an as needed basis.
